Heh! Good old Anderson and Jones! I figure they've had to pick up the pieces after Torchwood adventures before, and thus are totally unimpressed by any alien shenanigans. Them and their poor Sergeant, lol. And even if John hadn't, ahem, fainted, Anderson would have still taken him down!

Looking back I wished I had brought them back in for a scene later on, but basically ran out of time. Mind you, Torchwood does do that - brings in the likes of PC Andy for a few lines of dialogue, and then you don't see them for three more episodes. :( But am highly pleased you liked them, and that they did a good job of hooking you in at the start :) :)

And I would have loved to have had some proper John and Jack heart to hearts, but as I said, time got the better of me. But I'm glad I got John sort of going toe to toe with the good Captain at one point. And I have to say it wasn't til I started writing the scene, that I realised I was going to compare Jack and Ianto to John and Aeryn! Ianto kept whispering in my ear about it the whole time, lol.
